Roe is excited about the many soon-to-be-released movies, including Pirates of the Caribbean, Fantastic Four, Shrek 3, and The Simpsons Movie. "This is a buffet for the consumer. There is something for everybody's liking," said Roe.
Roe has gained a bit of knowledge from each theater he has managed, and which he uses to benefit the customer. The theater plans to offer midnight showings for many of the new releases, as this is what many consumers want.
Fox Lake Theatres enjoys partnering with local businesses. Examples include recent partnerships with bowling alleys or comic book stores - bring in your ticket stub for a free game of bowling or a comic book.
The theater enjoys partnering with area schools as well. Students have been asked to paint the windows of the theater's party room to feature popular movie characters. "It's important to involve the communities in the theater," said Roe. "In this case, it gives the student a sense of pride."
This summer, the theater will again offer its Wednesday morning movies for $1. Theater characters, including Dora, Scooby and Sponge Bob, will make appearances during this time. This is affordable family fun. A complete schedule of Wednesday morning movies is listed below.
